Well. I went to the get-together this morning @ the Hamburger Factory in Poway. Since I was one of the first to arrive, I got to meet most everyone as they checked in. In addition to lots of Leafs, there were 3 Teslas present---a blue one, red one, and grey one. Also, I saw an Active E BMW, and several Rav-4 EV's. It was a real pleasure meeting a lot of very nice folks.
In case some of the attendees wonder what happened to me: unfortunately, I had an emergency call and had to depart suddenly, just as we were going in for breakfast. (it wasn't a big problem, and everything turned out OK).
Lord willing, I hope to be able to attend the next meet.
