Hi All,

Member benworthy058 PM'd me with a lead on parts I was seeking.

Fortunately, CashApp blocked the transaction twice. So, I looked into the seller.

This same email, number and type of pm showed up on a boating/marine site:

Always a scam when it is a "mate" that is selling. I've seen a lot of these scams when I look for parts for older cars. Often some new "member" pops up with no history on the site, claiming to have just what I want. Check the posting history of someone you are thinking of doing business with. 0 posting history? scam. Many post, but all about selling parts? scam.

I get those messages all the time when I post a wanted listing. Obvious scam. If they just joined the forum, why can't they have their "mate" with the parts join too so they can PM you here?
