So maybe at this point we should start reserving a room instead of taking up tables?

The group is getting to be abit too long and blocks most of the walkways now... (this is a good thing!)

We rarely have over 14 bodies attending, but I can inquire about the
group size needed to reserve the meeting room. Most groups appear
to have 25 to 45 people in the group, and are often booked on Saturday.

So far, the 3-table configuration has been working well, I think.
Two rows of tables has people sitting back to back, sub-optimal
in my opinion.

One advantage of our good relations with our HTB locations
is that they usually allow us considerable flexibility, like going
outside for admiring the cars, and returning to continue inside
without paying again, ... as long as we ask politely, that us.

I just got word that a brand new BMW i3 with range extender will be visiting us this Saturday. Scott had a MiniE, then the BMW ActiveE, which he just turned in for the i3. I'm excited.

I am staying in San Clemente Friday night as part of a group campout at San Clemente State Beach. I might be able to get up to Santa Ana HTB Saturday morning by 10-11 to see you all and the i3.

I recently had my first sighting of a Smart Car EV. Really tiny, not nearly as cute as Fiat 500e, and the driver knew very little about his car.

For those who are interested after the meet.. The Anaheim Packing District is doing their grand opening tomorrow (aka massive farmer's marker, packing market, etc).. so some of us are heading over afterwards.. and yes.. charging is right nearby It's only 6mi away from HTB..

We are opening! The Anaheim Packing District's Grand Opening is May 31st from noon-10pm. The free celebration will have live music, a ribbon cutting, historic landmark tours, kids' games and crafts, line dancing lessons, hayrides, giveaways and more! The building has been crafted into a world-class food hall and includes a butcher, fresh juicery, baker, tea house, and others.

NRG eVgo $0 per month plan, and should get their
charging access card in about a week.

I think it contains an RFID in the card?

Awww....I had planned to go to that Anaheim Packing District Opening too. It'd be way more fun going with the EV gang, but I need to be in South Bay by noon, so I'll have to do it in the evening I guess :| But am greatly looking forward to seeing everyone at HTB tomorrow....missed you all!

A great gathering, about 18 people along with 6 types of vehicles.

Our next Gathering is in 2 weeks, on June 14th, at the HTB in Cerritos.

Two weeks later, on June 28th, we again Gather at the HTB in Santa Ana.
The manager has "invited" us to use the meeting room, if it is not already reserved.

This was an AWESOME time! I put 283miles in yesterday.. I went back home from Santa Ana (charged for abit).. then got Hilda.. and we came ALL THE WAY back down to Anaheim and met Leafy D at the Packing House! (Thanks to Anaheim for the awesome chargers!)

That Kia Soul is a real treat! Thanks to Keith for giving the test drives!

This vehicle is going to be the real competition to Nissan and Fiat.. the younger generation is going to love this thing!
