Sorry friend...perhaps Nissan switched them as I believe your car is an eTec car, a.k.a. e-SL model. Not sure??

Yes, Gudy, it was black + QC.
So when you Order, and a car matching your specs us made, the Nissan computer apparently does NOT have the VIN tied tightly to YOU ... until it is "allocated" in some manner, after production, to you.

So the VIN #s clearly don't correspond to order of delivery, right? Gudy's getting his car in 2 days and yet he is 25 numbers behind me!

Right, the VIN "should be" manufacturing-completed order, as far as we know, but we seem to have at least one "manufacturing date" example to the contrary.

However, Manufacturing date might be the "start" date, and VIN might be assigned serially only at the END of manufacturing.
