I got Paramount Plus for 1883 (VERY worthy) and Yellowstone (which they no longer have) and found that the show shouldn't have happened. Granted Picard is supposed to be old in the series but he is simply too old and it shows. For some reason it makes the show somewhat less appealing.

I am only on episode 3 so maybe its just taking time to grow on me. I will say the first episode I liked so it has the potential for a comeback.

As I posted at https://www.tivocommunity.com/threads/paramount-plus-formerly-cbs-all-access.563804/page-37#post-12516091, there's 3-month promo going on right now for P+. Supposedly, it's good for returning members.

I will have to give it a whirl as I recently canceled since my really great deal via Sportsline ended.

I am currently burning up Google rewards cash on P+ right now. $5 a month. Had to spend it on something as a chunk was getting ready to expire. Now that I know Picard will be back on soon, will have to keep it another month. Do they put out all series one episode at a time? Kinda sucks. Netflix completely spoiled me. I just burned thru the new season of 2 shows over the past 2 weeks.

If past history is any guide (the below currently don't have spoilers within the ep lists), then it'll just be an ep a week.

LOL! Ummmm... hmm... it's a bit spoilerish but one name is well known from TOS, there were ship names and types from Star Trek III + one very obvious reference to TNG, related to Picard.

I can spoil those further, if you wish... :)

https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/PIC_Season_2#Episodes which currently has no spoilers list the supposed "air" dates of each ep. It looks like S2 will be 10 eps, 1 released each week.

I did watch the latest Ready Room ep (DO NOT WATCH if you haven't seen S2:E1) at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21u068nd83M and Patrick mentioned they're almost done w/filming season 3. And, AFAIK, there will only be 3 seasons of Picard show.

Also, DO NOT WATCH if you can't stand whatsisname...Wesley.

I generally like Wil Wheaton, and some of his voice work on audiobooks is outstanding. But I watched some of this video and found it cringe-worthy.

I never understood the hatred toward little Wesley Crusher. In fact, I think his character was often better developed than the Doctor's was.

I mean, does anyone remember the episode that was essentially her love fling with a ghost?
That was not a good episode.

But there was some good episodes with Wesley. The one with Picard and Wesley trapped on the desert after a shuttle crash was pretty good. As were some others. Wesley, like all of them, were only as good as the writers.

‘Star Trek: Picard’ Wraps Production On Season 3… And The Series

That's a short series, even if that was the plan. I just wish they had done a Picard series a decade ago.

Though a new series featuring the Stargazer could be interesting. Throw in some crossover events with Thor and the wolverine, and add some romantic comedy.. and more nudity.... and William Shatner (not nude), and a new race of evil Irish Leprechauns - yes, these exist, there was one in a DS9 episode. Then a Borg Frat Party. And an anime Ecchi version of star trek too, with a reality TV twist where they get kicked off of the ship one at a time after sharing too much about their love life to the camera.

Ok, maybe just the stargazer spinoff.

So finally finished season one last night and WHAT AN ENDING!

Despite the late hour, I was ready to dive into season 2 only to find...there is only 3 episodes out. (Need to take some lessons from Netflix!) so thought I would wait for a few more to pop. Just saw a blurb about the new twist on the original so looks like I will be hanging onto Paramount Plus for at least a few more months. Right now its draining my Google rewards balance which can go another 10 months so looking good!
