I cracked my tail light when I was trying to put on my bike rack (closed the hatch while one of the clips wasn't on right). Is it ok to let it be and not repair it? I'm sure it is an expensive repair and the crack is not noticeable. I'm just worried if it will lead to more problems, especially in the winter with ice.

Thanks!

Try welding it with some of that very thin & runny plastic modeler's cement, applied with something very precise like an insulin syringe? Note: this is a pure guess on my part; I've never done it. But I once worked in a shop that made jigs and fixtures out of 1/2" plexiglas plates glued together with that stuff or something like it, and when it's done right (smooth surfaces & good clamping), the results are almost optical grade.
