Not interested. The credits were intended to incentivize first movers to get into the business, allowinig them to build up a presumably loyal customer base by the time the credits expired, thus giving them an advantage over the followers who have lower initial buy-in costs. If some of the companies fail to lock up suppliers, develop compelling 2nd gen. products or a loyal customer base (or else kicked them in the teeth) by the time the credits expire, that's no fault of the government. The credits should expire as planned, as it's time to show that PEVs have a market (or not, as the case may be) without continuing to bribe customers using other people's money.
