I'm not impressed with the accuracy of Carwings, or the need to "Accept" before driving if you want Carwings to record any data. Thinking about it, I feel there is a better way.
I would like the Leaf itself to populate an onboard website with similar data recordings as Carwings and then make that website available over WiFi (or Bluetooth) for use by the owner. If the owner chooses to let the Leaf send its information to Carwings by pressing "Agree" then that should happen, but it would not be required.
A second benefit would be that the Leaf could exchange data with a service tech without having to have wires connected. Your dealership would know your problem before you even got the window down to talk to the service writer!
This is not rocket science, but I do understand that it is much too late to change the Leaf today. Perhaps a third party wireless dongle in the OBD port? (hint)
