Is there any way to disable the voice recognition system on a 2017 SV?

I keep accidentally hitting the voice recognition button on the left hand side of the steering wheel. Is there any way to disable this system completely as I do not need it? Yes, I did check the manual.

I think that if you disable voice notifications, then you lose that as well. I keep hitting the similar key on the right side of the wheel on my Gen II Leafs.

Thanks. I'll try that; although I hate to lose the nav voice, for as little as I use it, it may be worth it. I do much of my driving in the dark with the dashboard lighting on minimum which also affects the steering wheel lighting. Hence mistaken music adjustments. Ergonomically the setup sucks even in daylight.

FWIW, you could add Android Auto or Caplay, via a custom software upgrade:

I found this on a Facebook recommendation, so no idea if the company is trustworthy.

You could presumably still use voice commands via Android Auto or CarPlay, and also then get a more modern and up to date navigation system.
