Seems like we could use a thread for people to post their car history/driving/charging/storage habits and battery capacity information. If possible, I'd like to keep the thread to just data posts, as there are already other discussion threads...If we get enough posts, maybe we'll start to see some interesting trends pop up besides the obvious...As the months go by, people can re-visit their post and add to their previous data.

Here goes my data:

Capacity Loss estimate range:

Range always seemed low with the last range test in May producing only 64 miles from a 100% charge to LBW with a 4.0 kWh/mile reading on the dash, suggesting about an 8.5% loss from the very beginning.

However, the range from an 80% charge to the loss of the fourth bar can vary by as much as 20% depending on temperature. High temps in the 90s and lows in the 80s have resulted in as low as 32 miles from an 80% charge to loss of the fourth bar. More moderate temps in the 60s and 70s can yield as much as 38 miles from 80% charge to the loss of the fourth bar.

I borrowed Gary's meter for a few days, and I noticed my highest gid count even after cell balancing is 271. This leads me to believe some (not all) of our lower gid counts are caused by the battery management system lowering the amount of watt hours put into the pack at higher ambient temperatures.

The car had previously sat on the dealer lot for three or so months and was an orphan, but I have no reason to believe that they would store it at 100% charged for that long. I did get it with 27 miles on the odometer.

What is a GID reading and I do I get it?
Read the threads about the SOC-meter in this subforum- http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewforum.php?f=44" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This is a good one to start- http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=5304" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As this list grows it'll become impossible to summarize, or see trends.
How about making an Excel spreadsheet on Google Docs,.... like the one tracking our orders?
