I agree that my mileage will drop with running the a/c. My past numbers have included only rare use of climate control.

A/C usage and more interstate driving cut my m/kWh to below 5 for the first time.
At 17K MILES - we've managed to come back up to 5miles/kWh at the wall - after dropping to 4.9 last winter ~ as 'she who must be obeyed' drove around more in it too.Lightnme said:I have only been driving my 2011 Nissan Leaf for a little over 2 months and I seem to have settled at 4.3 miles/Kw. I drive mostly 55 & 45mph to work and back each weekday which is about 56 miles round trip. Locally my electricity costs 13.4 cents/Kw.
56.6 miles/kWh * 21 kWh usable = range 1188.6 miles!derkraut said:I see on carwings that the "world champion" of miles KWH in the Leaf is averaging 56.6 miles KWH! How is this possible? Maybe he lives on top of a big hill, has the car towed to the top every day, and coasts down to the bottom? :? :? :? :? :?
AHA! Seems like a lot of effort, just to be the champion. That guy's gotta get a life, me thinks.DaveinOlyWA said:Find a long gentle descent. Power cycle the car, accept carwings disclaimer. Drive to bottom. Power cycle car, decline carwings disclaimer, return to top of hill, power cycle car....
