With total LEAF registrations in NZ of around 1,000 vehicles (and it sounds like most were used anyway); not surprised that Nissan decided to abandon new LEAF sales for now but it makes it that much harder for potential buyers who would have wanted to buy new.

Basically getting the car for about 50% retail used would be hard to pass up; as long as you could still get some kind of support which would be the bigger challenge.
This is probably of more interest to the Aussie LEAF owners but shows when government subsidies don't exist and an available used car market with deep depreciation amounts in just a few years can affect new car sales.
