Lots of original commercial pedestal L2 units are getting decommissioned these days... Does anyone know if they can be turned into dumb units after disconnecting blue cables from the Linux computer? Is that an option like on the residential units or can anything else be done with them?

It's been confirmed on GCR that, while the same size, the new 30 kWh battery is NOT compatible with the older LEAF models.

So what's worse for the battery - leaving it empty or full for extended periods of time? I know heat and cycling are the worst but what's next in line? Just wondering about things I should NOT do, so I don't get my lizard replacement next year.

Thank you for your responses, guys! The message I get is 0W and 0 for connected devices when it would say 8 otherwise and in the full sun. It also only happens when my 2012 is charging. My 2013 that's connected and charging right now doesn't seem to affect powerline communication. Very odd...

Exactly - Those were the kinds of prices we were paying on 11/11/11 but not now. Another joker across town got it down to $400 but that's still a joke.

So all in all, my little Honda eu2000i charging at 1.9 kWh using the second gen modified EVSE doesn't seem so bad or slow anymore. It's rated at 2K, surge at 2.2K but holding steady (and loud!) at 1.9K for hours until gas runs out.
