Add new leaf to EV connect app?

I feel like this should be easier for me to figure out, but evidently not… we just swapped our 2019 for a 2022, but the EV Connect iPhone app still points to the old one and I can’t seem to find a spot in either the app or the owners webpage to register the new one and/or replace the old one...

    Lease buyout fees

So I've never bought out a lease before, but the current value of my 2019 is about 6-7k higher than the purchase option price, so it's financially insane not to extract that equity. I got a payoff quote from NMAC, but evidently the buyout *has* to be done through a dealer, and they're adding on...

power seats on the 2022 models?

I've got a 2019 that's about to come off-lease so I'm looking at what to replace it with. My first thought is a 2022 SV, although looking at the trim levels is it actually true that the SV (not "plus" just "SV") does NOT have any power seats - even the driver's side? My 2019 SV definitely has...

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

I was under the impression that if someone totaled a leased vehicle, assuming it's normally insured, you were basically out the car and the remainder of the lease was either forgiven or paid off by the insurance company or something along those lines. But regardless of how you got there, if...

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

I'd say it is very unlikely that I'll buy the car at the end of the lease - this is our third 3-year lease (2012, 2015, 2019 models...) Too much changes from year to year and (at least so far) the $$ outlay has been worth it to drive something new. It's also possible that the tech will...

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

Two weeks ago I executed on: 2018 SL, 12k miles year, 36 months, with Tech/Pro Pilot, all-weather, cargo thing, floor mats, the silly illuminated grill emblem, splash guards, the cargo cover... I think it actually had every option possible (all I cared about was the first two...) Our 2015 lease...

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

Working with a local dealer who said (verbal, nothing in writing yet) that they would do 500 down, 350/month, 36 months on a 2018 SV with the tech package and the all weather package. This is about $13,000 over the life of the lease. Thoughts?

Read This Before Buying or Leasing A 2018 Leaf!

Useful info. Is there a way to authoritatively determine how a car is equipped? VIN number would be ideal, or some other immediately visible thing we could get from decent photos? It would be useful if people could determine this without having to physically inspect the car themselves.

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

Glaring issues? I see that you’d be paying almost $20,000 over 36 months to cover about 12,000 in depreciation. So at least to me that’s “glaring”... am I missing something in the math?

Is there a less painful way to turn the A/C on remotely?

Appreciate the suggestion, but unless I can get something that doesn't require a second device (either a native app or a web link / URL I can call from my existing phone) it's just not going to be worth it. Totally aware that I'm being picky as hell here: I'm really just trying to take the...

Is there a less painful way to turn the A/C on remotely?

Argh. About the only operating system I *don't* run already is Android. Is there a reasonably easy path to get this running on a server somewhere? I have a linux VPS already - but I'm probably kidding myself if I said I was knew anything about how to port that code over. ;(

Is there a less painful way to turn the A/C on remotely?

I vaguely remember that there was either a web URL or a small service you could run that would allow something as trivial as "turn on the climate control without jumping through the six hoops of the smartphone app" Does such a thing exist any more? I have root access on a 24/7 web server so I...

    2015 Lease Deals?

Closed today on a 2015 SV with QC/LED. I didn't really want the QC/LED but the cheaper cars were all colors I really DIDN'T want to drive for 3 years. Durham NC, Michael Jordan Nissan - no complaints about the sales staff here. Terms: 36-months, 12000 miles/year, $600 at signing, 35 payments...

    2015 Lease Deals?

I had a very similar experience about 10 years ago buying a Subaru Outback - negotiated the deal (this was a purchase rather than a lease) and signed all the paperwork. Two days later the "sales manager" called and said "we shouldn't have given you both discount XXX and rebate YYY" or something...

lease return of a damaged LEAF

So not *really* leaf specific, but I figure someone here has to have background on this. My wife was driving our 2012 leased LEAF today and was hit by someone else - damage looks significant but almost certainly not totaled. We were thinking about turning the car back in anyway, but does the...
