    Poll : What is your reaction to 70% / 5 yrs / 60k warranty

I think this is net-fantastic. I am sure with time, Nissan will bend even more on a case-by-case basis now that something directional is happening. The dealership will also be able to lobby HQ on gray-area-situations.

Nissan LEAF Update from Andy Palmer

I think this is all net-good news for Leaf owners. BTW, I think the community owes some gratitude to several+ community members. Top of mind goes to the crew that did the Az testing (Tony and sufingslovak. Sorry as I don't know the names/handles of the other folks). I believe other owners...

I don't own one... I have not noticed any range decrease so far... traffic has been increasing in Silicon Valley so this might be compensating for any appearance of degradation.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

The Sunnyvale Nissan Dealer NEVER recommended leasing to me or any of my friends. It will be interesting to see how Nissan treats/views the "installed" based of owners with time.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

There is where I think Nissan is blowing it... the first wave of customers can generate a ton of sales. We are the canary in the coal mine to friends and family. Personally, I am sure I can generate at least ten~ unit sales as a trusted recommender. Nissan Leaf could very well turn into a...

GID/capacity increases as cooler weather returns

I believe the car uses machine learning algorithms and pulls in many factors including temperature (battery/ambient), charging frequency, driving style and and many other factors. I will bet that during a very hot day, the battery might even slightly discharge. During very cold days, the...

Leaf is too successful! Nissan needs to step up.

It is a chicken and egg thing for sure. I am starting to see this at SF airport...

I greatly appreciated the youtube video. This community can be a great asset to Nissan.

Nissan VP of Comms -- missing in action?

I am rather impressed Jeff is posting (4 posts?)... i think he might be fairly new to Nissan and he has some history from GM in EVs.

Phoenix Range Test Results, September 15, 2012

Tony... school me here... on the surface it seems like the GOM did a fairly good job? What is the take-away from your view. Thanks

LEAF voltage measurement accuracy impact on capacity

I think this makes sense because the lower range becomes more delicate/vulnerable as the capacity degrades. In my mind, their TMS/BMS is heavily driven by machine learning and as you know... machine learning is all about training and retraining. It works great in retrospect, but struggles with...

Ghosn says Leaf will get a new battery.

I think Nissan is hurting themselves by not being overt by telling people that they will be offering an aggressive battery refresh program. If this happened, the value of these cars would rock and it would build reoccurring revenue for Nissan and customer loyalty.
