Programming HomeLink Transceiver to operate garage door

:D I know this is old, but we just moved into a place with a garage door opener and our Leaf has no manual. Your instructions worked perfectly!!! Thanks!!

Should I Buy a Used 2013 Leaf in this Scenario?

It should work ok. Sounds like you have thought some alternatives through. We are in the opposite boat; we bought the 2012 Leaf with just a 16 mile each way commute and recently bought a home that will extend the wife's commute to 33 miles each way. She also has charging at work, but she...

    Towing a Trailer

We installed the Ecohitch on my daughter's '13: It's fairly high up and hard to see unless your looking. The hitch is lower than the fins. Great company to work with; the instructions are clear and easy. The fit and finish is very high quality. Hope this helps. 8-)

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Wow. Good for him and it's nice to see Nissan doing something positive for their reputation!

    Leaf Link Connection Problems

Mine was not working the first few days of Feb, but was solid again yesterday. I wish the remote could be retrofitted for a remote start button.

    Nissan: We Can Match Bolt

So why in all the years since the issues surfaced hasn't this magic fix been done? Heck, a fan or ducting of the existing A/C system would seem within reach. I would say it's a safe guess that no one outside of enthusiasts, tech junkies, engineers, previous Leaf buyers from hot climates or...

    Nissan: We Can Match Bolt

It's unfathomable that Nissan hasn't begun to put at least a meager thermal management system into their cars. One would think that this issue would be A number 1 at Nissan. GM and Tesla seem to have proven the concept. The Bolt will be better received than any future Nissan offering just due...

The Electric Motorcycle & Motorscooter Topic

Congrats! Jealous. I was able to test ride one at the National Drive Electric event and found it very appealing. I'm not sure how long my drivers license would remain mine if I bought one. Every time I looked down at the speedo I was going much faster than I thought. And yes, it can do a...

    The “range–extended” EV (BEVx) considered

As bad as gas is, maybe the EREV path is the case of "not letting the perfect be the enemy of the good". Manufacturers perspective; transmissions can be replaced with Electric versions with low failure rates relatively inexpensively. Mate the new technology to the ICE they understand...

How do you help spread the word about EV's ?

Our Leaf came with the "100% Electric" chrome emblem on the liftgate. I removed all the "zero emissions " emblems as I think they are inherently dishonest and just piss people off. I've purchased your plug smileys, but it has been too cold to apply them! Neighbors have shown some interest...

    Thump/popping in wheel/axle area

Yes. Listen for more odd sounds. It might be useful to video it when it happens, as the whole wheel may be moving/jerking and that would be easy to show the Nissan tech.

    Thump/popping in wheel/axle area

Could be the CV joints in your front axle. Might be worth doing some slow figure 8's in a parking lot with the windows down. Should still be under warranty, right?

    The New Tire Replacement Post

My research on the Michelin Premiere A/S has been similar to yours, but it *seems* that those folks that bothered to continue posting results after the tires broke in saw only a very small efficiency hit. A few even reported results equal to the stock Ecopias. I've run them on our previous...

Install Double Batteries on Nissan LEAF Increasing Range to 160 Miles?

My initial thought is that they must be using wrecked car battery packs for this to be a profitable business venture. It will be interesting to see if it proves out.
