    PG&E processing Solar Interconnection Agreements

PG&E keeps "forgetting". You should have the phone number of the contact person assigned to your case. You have to keep calling that person. I called mine to see what happened to my app. They wanted me to change one detail bit. Re-sent. Nothing happened. Called one week later, they don't have...

Wagan ePower Cub for charging 2 Leafs

The OP doesn't want to get a grid-tie PV system yet. His utility wants to nail him $3K-4K just for an interconnection study (read post #1). The Wagan thingy is useless. 55Ah battery, so if you empty it from full, you'd get 660Wh. The Leaf has a 24kWh battery. Say you drive even just 10 miles...

Im considering these solar panels for the house ..

I buy my panels from renvu.com. Best prices and fast shipping. $200 for a 255W late model panel. I'd avoid eBay. Mostly junk or old stocks.

    2013/2014 Nissan Leaf Lease Information

Seems to be a bit higher than mine. I'm in CA, same car, same charge package, same lease terms. $258 a month inc taxes but I did had to pay $1083 even though it's $0 down due to tax, title, license, doc fee, etc.

    DIY Solar PV Installation

Just did an install (for a friend who helped me did mine). When the Engage cable hops from one rail to another, if it's close by (e.g. for 2 rows touching each other), then the cable can still be adequately secured using the clips. In my case, my 2 rows of panels are separated due to the...

    EVSE Extender Cord?

Hi LeftieBiker, If I understood your issue correctly, I think what I did for my own situation may be of some help/inspiration to you. See this post. http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=13424&p=326003#p326003" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Total Cost < $50

Outdoor rated Level 2 - 30A EVSE that uses a plug?

I too am faced with a similar situation. Here are the requirements/limitations: 1) I want a mobile L2 EVSE. 2) I don't want to mod my Nissan L1 EVSE (via evseupgrade) yet until I gain some confidence I don't have the 2013 PDM issue that other forum members are talking about. Don't want Nissan...

    DIY Solar PV Installation

Hmm, sorry, didn't think to take pictures of how I tucked the cables in the clips - thought it seemed pretty straightforward. With Enphase (M215), there shouldn't be lots of cables. The Engage cable is laid out straight along the rack/rail and secured by the Enphase clips (see BOM chapter for...

    2013/2014 Nissan Leaf Lease Information

Emc, you've the same car and same lease terms, except mine is 12Kmi/yr. Did you use VPP? Your numbers look a tad higher by a wee lil bit. Try Ameriprise. I shopped around for auto insurance. For my particular case, Ameriprise came in lowest, about $400 for 6 months. Congrats on your new car.

    DIY Solar PV Installation

Thanks for the positive comments. Still learning. Here's some of my thoughts about some of the past questions/comments. 1) Anti-sieze compound. Yes, I did read that Unirac note. I referred to another Unirac note in Chapter 6.4. Unfortunately, all 3 Autozone's in my area ran out of the...

    DIY Solar PV Installation

Just did my own solar install recently. Found many DIY websites saying here's what I did but none say here's what the rules say, what the permitted options are and how to do it right. So I wrote my own. http://sites.google.com/site/sitechsolar/ Informational use only.

    2013/2014 Nissan Leaf Lease Information

Thanks Corina. Sorry I missed the table. I just read your previous posts. Good info. Thank you. Pity, looks like Nissan is trying to get us to keep the cars at the end of the lease. Ugh, wasn't planning to baby the car. Might have to rethink that.

Best insurance companies for Leaf owners (GEICO a RIPOFF)

It's not just Geico that's expensive. It seems that it's just expensive to insure the Leaf here in California. Nissan says Farmers offer a 10% discount for Leaf owners. Still expensive. In the end, I stayed with my existing carrier, Ameriprise. $415.90 for 6 months. Totally, ridiculously...

    2013/2014 Nissan Leaf Lease Information

Hi Corina, Please don't apologize. I should be the one apologizing for not providing all the numbers. You are correct, the dealer did tack in other "not for profit" numbers to the cap cost. Negotiated Price = $28,493 Title, License = $90 Acquisition Fee = $595 (this figure is as declared in...

    2013/2014 Nissan Leaf Lease Information

Oh? My negotiated price was $28,493. MSRP was $31,265. If that still meant I didn't get VPP pricing, then that just reaffirms the perception I have of all car dealers being snakes. Valid VPP Claim ID, even gave them the flyer Nissan sent to my company and the affirmation email from Nissan USA...

best charger option for a 2013 Leaf S with Quick Charge pack

Good info last few posts. Thank you to the posters for sharing. 1) Yes, I do realize the LCS-25 charges at 20A max. Hence my meaning "output the current it is drawing". Whatever goes in the EVSE is delivered out of it. 2) I did not realize the new 2013 EVSEupgrade-d unit can do 240V 20A. Seems...

best charger option for a 2013 Leaf S with Quick Charge pack

I'm pondering similar thoughts. In the end, I decided on the exact opposite of this. Buy Clipper Creek L2 EVSE LCS-25 for $500. Keep Nissan L1 EVSE at home. Reasons: 1) If I'm travelling, I'd be looking for a 240V outlet and most definitely wouldn't wait at L1 speed. Even the LCS-25 isn't fast...

    2013/2014 Nissan Leaf Lease Information

Even with VPP's "No Haggle" policy, it can be very difficult to get a good price. My VPP Plan D Details: - Lease offer - 36 months - No down, only 1st month's payment due at signing - $208/mth S, $256/mth SV, $302/mth SL - Assumes MSRP of $28,800 for S, $32,670 for SV, $35,690 for SL I called...
