This is helpful, thank you. I assume the brighter halogen bulbs consume more power, but that isn't much of a concern for us. Unfortunately, no DRL's, no AUTO switch position on this car as equipped.

Update: I'm in pretty much the same position as the previous poster. The car has accepted the PIN and PASSWORD that Nissan generously provided (good thing I wrote them down -- had to enter multiple times, and I can no longer seem to get back to the page where they were on the website). But...

All good now -- last night I couldn't connect and the Owners section said there was a discrepancy with my car's VIN. But over night it reconciled that and connected. Now to see if the iOS app works too . . . .

Very vexing today. Moving to the Nissan Owners portal means I have a new login (I was asked to use my e-mail for this) and password. Now, in the car, following the step-by-step instructions above, the car will not accept the last character ("m") of my e-mail, which is [email protected]. So...

Thanks again for both your patience and your help. I didn't know about the need to connect the car from the car end; so I have that yet to do. That's probably why the (now apparently available on the App Store) iOS App isn't working for me.

Thanks. I don't spend much time here; I came looking for help, which has been kindly provided once desiv understood my problem. I was a little short with him, a reflection, I guess, of being annoyed by the whole (to me entirely unnecessary and needlessly clumsy) switchover.

Thanks. It's a very long thread with a lot of irrelevant discussion about 2G. I am able to long into the Nissan Owners Portal. The problem I am having is with the new Nissan OwnersConnect app. It doesn't. Newly downloaded iOS version.

Your responses seem offensively patronizing. If the Nissan portal were working for me I wouldn't be here complaining. It's not.

Hybrid cars creep too. It's normal and expected behavior for a modern car. There are a few cars, like ICE BMWs that have an "Auto-H" feature that applies the brakes automatically at a stop, and releases them automatically with an accelerator press. But it would be a bad and dangerous practice...

Mine came in the mail today. Bought the car 6/13 at Gladstone Nissan in Oregon.

It's not easy to find a nice car with cloth seats. That was the draw for me in the SV. Mine seems to have everything else that might be on an SL (except the solar panel): QC, Bose, top view, LED headlights. My only wish for the car is DRLs -- I can understand that they would cost something...

Bought June 13. No card yet. Dealer (Gladstone, OR) says it will be mailed by Nissan. No indication when.
