ICEless in Seattle : Official Pacific NorthWest thread

^ Thanks for those suggestions. I'll join the group to stay updated with local news. Getting our charging infrastructure set up was a bit of a challenge. We had an electrician run new lines to our carport (in a community of 6 cottages), which involved tapping into our main meter. You would...

ICEless in Seattle : Official Pacific NorthWest thread

Hi We just moved from Dallas to Seattle over the weekend and shipped the Leaf up (we weren't ready for a 2,000-mile EV road trip). Had an electrician come out to the house Monday to hook up electric and now we're set (we've moved into the Seattle/Mt Baker neighborhood and are loving it so far)...

    Charging at a Condominium

We've had a Leaf since 2011, first charging using a 110 outlet at an apartment complex, and later at a 240 outlet in an apartment complex when we did the EVSE upgrade. We're now buying a townhome in Seattle, WA and need a new, permanent charging solution. We'll own the covered parking space but...

    DFW Metroplex

I was told today that Bankston (now AutoNation) Dallas has lost their Leaf certification and can no longer service the Leaf. Since we need to take ours in for the software update, what's another good service center in the area?

    DFW Metroplex

I wish there was one located along 35E between Dallas and Denton. That corridor has plenty of Level 2 chargers, but the distances is long enough that a QC would make the trip much easier.

We've parked at this location before to charge, but walked to nearby shops since it was the middle of the afternoon (we've eaten at others). The problem we've seen is that some of the restaurants (like Mesquite) block the area for motorcycles, and it's hard to squeeze the car in.

We had the brake fix applied during our routine service Tuesday. Haven't noticed much of a difference yet.

Valet service charged it without problem. I've also heard that there will be self-service charging stations in the reconstructed terminal parking garages (now under construction).

The new Perot Museum of Nature and Science in downtown Dallas has 2 (unbranded) charging stations. These are available for any visitor, but they are located in the parking lot reserved for special guests right in front of the building (behind barricades). To use these, you must enter the parking...

    DFW Metroplex

We got caught in the crazy Christmas weather as well. Left with a full charge (and no cord) thinking we'd have plenty to return home, but the cold temps, rain and fierce wind knocked us out. Luckily we located a Kroger Blink station (Hickory Creek Plaza, near the road) and parked for a few...

DIY Horn Upgrade Mod - Updated Jan 12

We installed our new horn a few months ago following the instructions posted on this thread. Thanks for all of the information! The new horn is much better and a big improvement.

I have a ding/scratch in nearly the same location. I'll give them a call based on your recommendation.

I tried valet recently as well, and was pleased that the car was charged when I returned. I've heard the renovations will include charging stations in some of the other parking areas.

Sorry we didn't make it out; looks like fun! In other news, DFW Airport is now offering charging (Park 'N Fly has been offering it for a while off-airport and cheaper)...

You should come. We went to the event last year about a month before our Leaf arrived. It was good to talk to other Leaf owners and set expectations for the EV experience; it definitely helped answer a few questions we had.

I've noticed more Leafs around town lately. For a while, I thought we were the only one in the downtown area. I've spotted a white one (of someone that works in Deep Ellum) and a blue one near Knox-Henderson. Those giant billboards downtown must be convincing others to buy!

    DFW 2nd Annual Leaf Reunion

Going to try to make it. Sounds like fun! I was up there on Tuesday and the construction is a mess; hopefully we'll have enough space. I've found that approaching from the back is easier (Midway>McEwen>Welch), and you won't have to traverse the dirt pile driveway.
