Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

Hi Turbo3, I have plenty of iPhones/iPads and buying apps is of no concern to me at all. I can't seem to find 0.27 on the google play store (googles version of appstore). I am searching for Leaf battery app. If possible could you please put a weblink to the free and pro versions. I Found it...

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

So jealous now. I'd love to display my tire pressure but here in Australia we got the SL 2011 LEAF for $54,000 and they remove the homelink rearview mirror, remove voice control and also removed the TPMS. I'll install 0.26c tonight but I'm expecting to see 0 psi :(

    Promoting the Leaf

I couldn't agree more... this is why I made 2 Nissan LEAF commercials using my LEAF Version 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woZRImz1YkU Version 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIwwd4zNqz4

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

Hi All, My lovely wife left me with 2 bars on the LEAF before we went to a friends house (8km return) and then I was left with 1 bar to go to the gym (14km return) and then shopping (9km return). I can honestly say I would have been confident about making it without the LEAF app but it was...

Is there something wrong with my bars!?

I live in Australia and would LOVE to see Km/kwh but my ONLY option is kwh/km. Was this the default on your LEAF? If not how can I change it?

Ok. That's interesting. I'm not familiar with all this. I've just installed the scanner and running the app using default settings, except for miles to km setting.

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

Hi. My name is Phillip and I live in Canberra, Australia. We bought our LEAF in September 2012 during normal weather. The car usually stays on 5 temp bars. Then during summer around December it usually stayed on 6 temp bars. But during a hot week of temps over 45 degrees Celsius we saw 7 temp...

My LEAF is 9 months and 12,660km old and my battery still shows 101.98% capacity. I'd be keen to see how your 2 year old LEAF is going.

A huge thank you to all you LEAF guru's! Yes my 12v battery was fine and sure enough the clicking was from the VCM (Vehicle Control Module) switching in 12v every time the app requested some CANbus data. Unfortunately the tiny bluetooth adapter I bought is so small I can't connect re-wire pin 16...

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

Oh on another note, the 0.25FS has been working flawlessly for the last few days. It turned out the phone just wanted to be rebooted? After a reboot the software hasn't had any problems communicating with the OBD scanner.

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

I measured my bluetooth OBD mini device today and its a LOT more than the 30mA I saw on a spec sheet. I measured 91.6mA! That's about 1.1 watts. Any way so I came home today to my leaf and I could hear clicking coming from the engine bay. When I unlocked the car it stopped. The 12 battery was...

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

Just an update. I fixed my connection problems by just rebooting the android phone. It worked perfectly all day yesterday. I tried turning off Bluetooth when the car turns off but this causes java exception errors in the app.

I'm happy to help. I noticed my elm lost connection at times while driving. I'm not sure if it the phone, app or elm device.

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

Hi All. Thanks for all the feedback. I found out after driving the car tonight that the Bluetooth OBD tool turns off its bluetooth link when I turn the car off. I can not connect to the OBD unless the car is in either on or accessories mode.

Thanks Davewill. The settings Profile app does let me enable/disable the bluetooth. As for leaving the OBD adapter in.... I found this: My Nissan LEAF has a 520CCA 12v battery. With 86.5Ah capacity. Lets only calculate for a 30% discharge which is 25.95Ah ELM327 - Wifi version: Voltage: 12v...

Hi all, I went home at lunch time and found my ELM327 adapter in the mailbox. I simply plugged it into the car and connected using the 1234 password and it worked! Here is a quick video I shot on my iPhone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZJrnp05O5A

Thanks JPWhite. I live in Canberra, Australia and I only know of 1 other person in Canberra with a LEAF. We both built our own 7.2Kw EVSE using the OpenEVSE project. This is why I was considering the opensource SOC meter kits but was pleasantly surprised when I saw this thread! I am still...

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

Hi everyone, I live in Australia and bought my LEAF in Septermber 2012 and found out I actually bought a 2010 model as per VIN. Number 308 off the production line. We are coming into winter now and I have been noticing a decrease in range and was going to build an open source SOC meter like the...
