Quite honestly, I didn't even look at that sticker when I bought my car. And not to say it rudely, but I don't care. The auto world is a lot different than it was 20 years ago. It's very global. So the term "import" and "buy American" don't mean anything anymore.

Yes, that is interesting. Especially the part about the electrode material being imported in rolls for assembly at the battery plant in Tennessee and the bit about motors being made in Decherd, Tennessee since early in the model run.
