Apple Watch??

So far - nothing has been released by Nissan for any type of control by the apple Watch...but yours is a good suggestion that I'll be acting upon in the near future. So far - this is all there is... Porsche, BMW, and Volkswagen..."soonish".

One of my coworkers ordered 2 watches on the night orders opened up. One that was in the $1K range for himself and a $349 for his fiance. Another coworker seemed to want to order one for her husband. Her cell phone runs Android so an Apple Watch is of no use.

I'm guessing I'll be selling it after trying it for a few weeks.

Have played with it only for a bit. Still divided about whether it's worth $349 + tax. The joke on the TWiT podcast (http://twit.tv/show/this-week-in-tech" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false is that it's a $349 Mickey Mouse watch. And, it seems like everyone (including my coworkers) make fun of the sending your heartbeat feature.

It does feel like a version 1.0 product. And, 3rd-party app support is really hit or miss. Some 3rd-party apps are very slow (including to launch) on the watch and some are quite buggy, often crashing.

The first coworker received his Apple Watches a day or two before me. The second coworker I think ordered the same day as me but a different version. It looks like they'll be waiting awhile longer.

Another coworker tried for http://www.macrumors.com/2015/04/21/apple-watch-developers-guaranteed-device/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and got selected, so he got his blue 42 mm Watch Sport a little while ago. It let those lucky folks cut in line but only for that model, band and color.

In the WWDC keynote, they did show the Apple Watch controlling some features of the e-Golf including adjusting the interior climate control temp via the digital crown and IIRC, locking the doors.
