Please understand that in electronics lingo, "in parallel" doesn't mean "concurrently" as it does in the computer world. Connecting all the LEAF's cells in parallel and then quick-charging them would call for a "simple" collection of electronic switches capable of handling currents on the order of 250A, two per cell, to reconfigure the battery from an all-in-series configuration to an all-in-parallel one, and then coming up with about a four volt, twenty-five THOUSAND amp power supply to charge them. And to what purpose?DanCar said:It is not that hard of a problem. Supply 1k volts and your good for quick charge.
Each cell can charge in parallel. Divide the voltage and send it to each cell.
