On my last 65 mile roundtrip to the new International Terminal at Atlanta Airport, I discovered about 8 parking spots dedicated to EV's.
They are located INSIDE the parking decks on the arrival level, right next to the elevator that takes you to the pedestrian bridge. VERY convenient!
I'm glad to see Airport authorities in Atlanta providing perks to owners of Electric Vehicles. Add to that the use of HOV lanes (if you have the 'Alternative Fuel Vehicle' plates) and you see a city growing more aware of the advantages of the electric car.
I hope the next move will be to provide at least a few charging stations at these parking spots. Some people who live up north (like me) could use a charge as our vehicles begin losing range in the coming years. As it stands now, with fuel hovering at $4 a gallon, the cost of the airport run is slashed significantly by using an EV for the trip.
