I've been trying to figure out in terms of AHr precisely where I might loose bar 9. Some time ago, and I really don't think this came from published data, I surmised that the following would hold true:

Loss of bar 12 - between 54AHr and 55.5AHr
Loss of bar 11 - between 50AHr and 51.5AHr
Loss of bar 10 - between 46AHr and 47.5AHr
Loss of bar 9 - between 42AHr and 43.5AHr

Now a quick look through the a Capacity Loss WiKi doesn't find a great many bar loss reports complete with AHr readings, but I think the ones that are there validate this hypothesis pretty well:

Loss of bar 12 - between 53.92AHr and 55.76AHr
Loss of bar 11 - 51.6AHr (only one reported with AHr data)
Loss of bar 10 - between 46.9AHr and 47.5AHr
Loss of bar 9 - between 41.77AHr and 43.56AHr

Time to widen your band again.

I lost bar 11 at 51.594 AHr

As soon as Daylight Saving Time ended and the weather cooled off, my battery stats started improving. My battery went from 42.43 Ahr and 43.49% Hx on 10/26 up to 42.57 Ahr and 43.72% Hx on 11/4. Then it stabilized for about a week. On 11/9 it started to droop just a little, and it was down to 42.50 Ahr and 43.6% Hx yesterday. Battery temp went from high 80s to mid 60s during this time.

Today I had an hour after work while it was still light, so I drove a little further. I drove the same course frequently this fall, so I know how much battery each leg takes. LBW and VLBW occurred right where I expected them to. I really enjoyed driving below VLBW; I had full regeneration again!

Things were going fine; I was about 2 gids below my target when I was a mile and a half from home. Not significant. Then the car turtled. It was the highest turtle I've ever seen; 8 GIDs and 0.5 kWh remaining. I was a mile from home, so I fully expected to walk. Last time I turtled a half mile from home, I had to push the car the last 100 feet. I expect turtle at 0.3 - 0.4 kWh and 5 - 6 GIDs.

I tried to keep momentum up. No braking, gradual deceleration off the highway and down the streets to my home. It worked; I made the final mile. Final numbers were 4 GIDs and 0.3 kWh.

New battery stats; 42.38 Ahr and 43.42% Hx. I think I'm out of the doldrums. But will that ninth capacity bar ever fade away?

Mike, I've been primarily offline for a couple weeks and missed your 20 Oct 15 loss notice until today. Congratultions on your new battery at the beginning of the cold season! Not staring at 50 miles range after 100% charge will be a great pleasure and running the heater without undue concern for range will be a (literal) comfort. My only difficulty with the 2015 battery has been getting used to 268 max Gids instead of 281. The cold weather has also finally pushed Ahr below 66, but at least I can expect to get most of that back in the Spring.

Looks like my time has come: dropped the 4th capacity bar yesterday on the way to lunch!

LeafDD Stats @full charge this morning:
SOC = 96.24%
AHr= 42.39
Hx = 43.43%
GID = 183
41k miles

Last time I saw 6TBs was last week (for 1 day); been @5TBs since.
Dropping Leaf off at dealer this Friday; they are going to give me a loaner (gasser). Service advisor indicated replacement pack availability is down to about a week again; I'll report back when I know more (or get my Leaf back).

Two more days. Then I hope to assume my rightful place... one month behind mwalsh. If that doesn't work, maybe I'll copy Stanton and drop the bar a week after getting battery temp up to six bars, which I did yesterday. Less than two months remaining on warranty now...

Fingers and toes crossed for you! All of them.

My stats are virtually identical to Stanton's:

Mileage: 40,436
Ahr: 42.33
Hx: 43.33
100% charge: 183 GIDs

Except for my ninth capacity bar!

On an unrelated topic, while driving in the mountains yesterday, I noticed that GIDs seem to lag far behind reality. When I'd crest a hill after pulling 40kW for several miles and start down the far side, I'd observe the loss of four or five more GIDs even though the car was heading downhill and regenerating power. And after descending the same grade, regenerating the whole way, I'd see GIDs continuing to accumulate for several miles after I got back on flat ground. I also got to experience VLBW twice on the same drive, after regenerating 20 GIDs after VLBW had already occurred.

I had to use the car today, instead of doing my first Leaf Spy Lite check, but while I was parked at 86% charge (after starting with a 100% but non-EQ'd charge) I used the wait time to get the adapter paired with my new Event phone, and that brought up a reading. Is there any way to extrapolate from 86% to 100%, while I wait for another chance to test the pack when it's charged and equalized? Anyway, this is what I got today:

AH = 58.79

Hx = 89.37

SOH = 89%

It looked like two cells were out of balance, if that's what red graph lines mean.

I charge to 100% regularly but not at all often, usually charging to where my car idiosyncratically stops at 79%, instead of 80%.

SOH, HX, and AHr on the first screen don't change based on the SOC so no need to extrapolate.

Red means the cell pair is actively balancing.

SOH of 89% means you have 11% capacity loss.

I saw no need to wait to upgrade to Pro now that I know my setup works, so I did so this morning. Is there any issue with having both versions installed, or should I delete the Lite version before I do a full pack test?

No, I have both with no problems. I actually prefer the Lite in many instances, but I got the Pro to help support Turbo3's efforts (plus it reads and resets DTCs).

Maybe.
SOH is a 7 bit integer value from the Car CAN.

Whether it is what Nissan calls % capacity has not been confirmed.

But in general it does usually stay pretty close to the current pack capacity AHr divided by the brand new pack initial AHr.

No problem having both.
The one time having both helped me was when Android update corrupted the phone and LEAF Spy Pro became non-functional, the Lite version still worked.

Well, I now have the numbers.

GIDs: 254

(% of GIDs remaining?): 90.4

SOC: 96.7

Hx: 89.37

SOH: 89%

AH: 58.79

Voltage: 395.56

Max Voltage Delta: 12mv

0 QC charges, 1983 L-1/L-2 charges (mostly L-1)

I was going to use this as the basis for deciding (as long as Nissan is still offering a $6k discount on the residual) whether or not to buy my car, and it looks like I'll probably keep it. I was worried that I'd lose a bar either any day, or, with cold weather now here, first thing in the Spring. Happily it looks like I may have another year. Maybe I can hold onto that bar until a year from next Spring? I've been very careful, since late in the first Summer when I found out about degradation, to not charge the pack when it or the weather is hot. Still, this car has now seen three Summers - two of them unusually hot - and it still has 12 bars at 13.5k miles. This says to me that the 2013-2014 packs really are better than the 2011-2012 units.

9 Bar Car is now temporarily 8 Bar car. Lost the 9th bar today. Whohoo! here are the stats.

SOH 63%
SOC 96.7%
AHr 41.79
Hx 42.44%
GIDs 181
odo 37,453
21 QC &1239 L1/L2
391.78V

Happy Thanksgiving!

Mike, Could you add me to the list?
