The Lance Armstrong thing is a bit mystifying, and no one has ever said anything about it. He got the "first" LEAF, but the car wasn't legal to sell yet. There was a promo video of him taking delivery, and he shot one commercial. That was the last I heard of it. Did he keep the car? Ever drive it? If it couldn't be resold, I guess he'd just give it back.
There are a lot of bicycling enthusiasts at work. I asked them about sponsors...they knew about Radio Shack, but not much about Nissan. This was all in 2010; current events notwithstanding.
