There are too many variables in quoted insurance costs to make any real judgement regarding your personal situation, including your age, location, usage, driving record, coverage limits, discounts, etc. Look at some of the previous threads on the forum regarding insurance--individual experiences vary widely. In general, the Leaf is indeed an expensive car to insure, as repair costs for it are high. As useless as it may be for direct comparison, I have Allstate myself and pay $427 every 6 months to insure our Leaf. My 2001 F250 PSD truck is $231 for the same period and coverage limits, so not quite double, but almost, and my truck is 9 years older than yours.epic said:just got the price from allstate?they want twice the price for this leaf as my 2010 f250-60+ k truck.anyone else getting bent over?

What are your coverages and deductibles?
I found Safeco (Liberty Mutual) to be the least expensive.

+1... Totally agree.

AAA was screwing me over.
