PTC heater problem

Hello Everyone,

I have Nissan Leaf 2011 for 2.5 years from purchase. I've just discovered that the heater is blowing only cold air instead of heat. A/C Conditioner is working well, it's freezing. Can anyone advise me, on how to specify: if it is problem with the PTC heater, or if the Fuse or Heatpump is out of order??

2011 Did not have a heat pump.

The PTCs are notoriously bad and very expensive to replace. They fail due to poor design, so the replacement part will eventually fail for the same reason. Paying a Nissan dealership or even an independent mechanic costs a fortune as the whole dash has to be taken out and the part is expensive too.

Some people have installed kerosene or similar heaters and have had success doing so. Those cost much less but they aren't trivial to install.
