Rear defroster on climate timer - 2018 Leaf S

Hi,
New to the forum. I have a 2018 Leaf S and when using the climate timer in winter for heating up the car, the rear defrost/side mirror defrost would come on with the cabin heater...at some point in the past few years it has not. The defroster still works normally during driving, but is there a setting where I may have inadvertently turned off the defrost in this mode? Thanks,

I guess no one has heard of this issue at all? Ideally the rear defroster will go on when the climate timer is warming up the car, to get rid of the stuff on the rear window.
