I've recently noticed a sudden loss of estimated range on my 2015 24kWh Leaf so I had a look at the health stats on LeafSpy and none seem to have had a corresponding change.
One thing that I have noticed is that my total charge available and SoH don't seem to add up, so I was hoping someone could explain what's going on for me.
The dash still has 12 battery health bars and LeafSpy currently reports SOH as 87.3%. However, LeafSpy also reports that the currently on 42.8% charge with just 7.1kWh remaining. Unless I've misunderstood, that means LeafSpy implies that at 100% charge I would have ~16.6kWh available.
That seems really low to me...and implies something closer to 70% SoH, even if you take into account some reserve at the top and bottom of the battery.
Can anyone explain if this is normal for LeafSpy? My confusion is that the dashboard rangefinder seems to roughly agree with LeafSpy even though both health indicators suggest I should have more range available. Thanks for any advice!
