SOON to be Owner -Days away - Software updates, 2012 Nav, ?

I'm about to finally get into a 2011 Nissan Leaf. Excited.

Wanted to check around to see if there were any software upgrades , firmware versions that I should make sure I have before I take ownership of the car.

In addition, since it's a 2011, is there any difference with the Nav Maps in the 2012 versions ? Should I request a disc or upgrade?

Any more hints you can share?

Nav maps aren't supposed to be upgraded until this spring, if I recall. Most 2011's on here have had to have a software upgrade, several threads on that, so you should have the dealer check to make sure your Leaf has the latest rev. The reflash affects the calibration of the Guess-o-meter, not sure what else.

There's a thread with all the current software. Any car delivered after April 2011 already has the GOM update.

Power on the vehicle
Power off the audio
Press the MAP button 3x
Press the Audio Power button 2x
Press the MAP button 1x
Select Confirmation/Adjustment
Select Version/Information

Note: Minimum TCU Software release for TB-11-041 fix "2011 Leaf, No Telematics Communication": 3NA0000626
