May as well add this Model X fire video here:

It was from 2017 and was after an X crashed into a house. It required a lot of time and work on the part of the firefighters due partly due to the re-ignitions.

Thanks to https://www.chevybolt.org/threads/tesla-in-the-ocean.39376/, I learned of a Model X in the ocean. I bet they don't make great boats or submarines. :mrgreen: More below:

Why am I not surprised this happened outside of Ferndale? I haven't been there in years (decades really) but it seems like the sort of place where this could happen.

That is probably going to be an expensive salvage operation as well. I wonder who is going to pick up the tab for that.

When I saw this, I was amazed at the stupidity of the driver. If you put the car into D with any door open, it chimes and flashes warnings at you. Let alone the road noise you'd hear from having that big opening in the side of the car.

As the guy recording the video says at the end "what a fool".
