The bottom line is that GM fired it's shot, and is now moving the target to get a bulls eye! This is USA Marketing 101! The Volt has its virtues but is clearly a "miss" at the EV Target. The fact that Nissan has succeeded in making such a wonderful and affordable EV is a very real political/image problem for GM. But, it is done, GM has taken its shot and is now in full campaign mode to convince people that the Volt is exactly what we wanted. However, I do not get manipulated well (and like most others) do not appreciate being TOLD what I wanted. I know who I am, I know what I need, and I know what I want. I want a Pure EV and thats exactly what I'm getting!
