I keep hearing that by the end of the year we are suppose to have all these CHAdeMO DC quick charging stations along I-5. Okay so where are they?? We have about three months until the end of the year... So where are they??

Surely there must be a few installed by now?

I want to take my LEAF for a longer drive along I-5 so where are the chargers! :?

Great question! I only wish that there was an answer.

I've been scanning the WSDOT and other sites for the past few weeks trying to find some sort of indication of where they will be located, but I can' find anything more on the subject past the press release last July.

Perhaps there is someone out there that has some inside connections!

WSDOT just deployed one for their own use: http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/transit/pt_features.htm

When I recently talked to an Ecotality rep, it don't sound like they were very close, yet. They finally got UL approval for their Blink charger, and have one recently operational in Portland, OR, but they consider it a "beta test" right now.

In Washington, they have "identified" areas where they would like to see them installed, but it didn't sound like they had even gotten as far as signing contracts with any specific sites, yet… "End of November" (or even end of year) aren't looking very promising at this point… Sigh.

I don't remember seeing any "ETA" dates for Ecotality L3 chargers in Washington anywhere.

The "End of November" date is the date that WSDOT has said that the "West Coast Green Highway" L3 chargers along I5 and US 2 between Everett and Leavenworth.

Note that WSDOT contracted with AeroVironment to provide those L3 chargers.

I find it interesting that the state bought an Eaton for their own use on campus in Olympia.
