I am not sure if this topic has been discussed at some other place. Pardon me if it has been.
But I thought it would be useful for Sacramento region LEAF owners.
City of Sacramento has a "Free EV Parking" program in any of the City Parking Facilities. Here is the web address for the pdf of the form.

And here is the link for the map of city parking facilities. Some of the sites have EVSE available, which I am not sure is J1772 or not. I might try these sites in future.

There is no fee involved for these access cards.

For a change, I had a very good experience with Parking Division person, who was very helpful. Within a few days of sending the application with appropriate documents, I got the free parking cards mailed to me. I received these on 4/23/11.

I hope people would find this useful.

Clipper Creek says they will have the chargers in the city garages updated to J1772 by the end of June.

I'd seen this, but didn't apply because I'll probably never use it and I thought there were fees. It says in #2 that administrative fees will apply for all new and replacement cards, but didn't say what the fees were. $0 is a pretty reasonable fee!
