How long is the trickle charge cable?

I'll be just using the emergency trickle charge cable for daily use. Does anyone know how long this cable is? My outlet receptacle is about 10-15ft away, so more than likely I will need an extension cord. Anyone know what gauge I should be getting for the extension cord? I know using an extension cord is not recommended by Nissan.
