We were able to drive 54 miles using 39% of the battery, which extrapolates to about 138 miles total range, not bad. And if it's true that there is a 'reserve' of another 10 miles or so - then it would seem likely to be able to go close to 150 miles/charge.
We just got our '18 LEAF four days ago - loving it so far. Today will be the first 'long drive' (120 miles round trip). The fuel gauge seems accurate so far (unlike our 2012 LEAF!) so I don't think there will be any problems, but there are charging stations along the way, just in case ;-)
Can't...
It turned out to be the charger! A few days later the car wouldn't charge again and I noticed some error indicator lights were flashing on the charger. I checked with a volt-meter and sure enough - there was voltage coming into the charger, but no voltage going out.
I contacted the maker...
My 2012 Leaf just did something similar. I have my timer set to automatically start charging every day at midnight (to 80%). I plugged it in a couple of days ago and didn't drive the car. (Rode the motorcycle). When I got home from work this evening I unplugged the Leaf, hopped in, turned it...
Recargo http://www.recargo.com is good one (user supported/vendor neutral). You can uncheck the boxes for the other types of chargers to just display the CHAdeMO chargers.
Blink http://www.blinknetwork.com/blinkMap.html is proprietary, but a good one - they have a lot of the CHAdeMO...
The last part of the charge is the most stressful on the battery pack - if you charge to 100% daily, compared to someone charging to 80% daily - you might see a faster degradation in battery capacity.
That said - Nissan warranties the battery capacity:

I usually charge to 100% on weekends -...
I would think that if it were the car stopping the charge it would be consistent across different brands of CHAdeMO chargers. I have charged several times at the new Nissan CHAdeMO in Elk Grove and it doesn't stop charging at 80%.
I was in Vacaville when a 2013 Leaf owner reported the premature...
My 2012 Leaf does the same exact thing. When I set the Blink Quick DC charger to charge to 100% it just stops charging at 80%. There are no error messages, the display on the charger just says, "your charge is complete".
What you have to do is unplug the charger and start over - select 100%...
I spoke with a Nissan engineer (Owen) this weekend - he said that the electronics on the 2013 Leaf were completely redesigned. If you look under the hood the 2013 looks very different from the previous models. The inverter / charger, etc., are all different from prior models - and are not...
-I wouldn't get a Leaf that didn't have CHAdeMO charging capability. This changes the car from a local commuter to a practical vehicle. If you don't have CHAdeMO chargers in your area now - that may change. I got my car last year and a CHAdeMO charger was just installed 30 miles from my house -...
The first Sacramento area CHAdeMO Charging Station was unveiled this weekend (Elk Grove Nissan Dealership, 4-20-2013):

I found it on page CH-29 of my owner's manual, weatherman is right - the big battery is charging the little battery. I noticed it for the first time today. I've had my car for 7 months, but I was just out of town for 10 days and the Leaf has been sitting. Since it is always parked in the...
I programmed the five phone numbers into the vehicle phonebook when I got my Leaf, but when I tried to dial a phone number yesterday I got the response, "vehicle phonebook net set up". I went to my settings to see - and sure enough there were no phone numbers. They were all erased.
Any idea how...
I spoke with Brian McLean, Fleet and Transit Manager for the City of Vacaville, on July 31, 2012 - he stated that the City of Vacaville has plans to install another DCFC "in the next couple of months".
Hopefully by the end of September....
