    Does battery need calibration?

I am not worried about 79% vs 80% at all. I am more concerned why the SOC % drops so fast in the beginning of the trip (or when the battery is close to 80%).

    Does battery need calibration?

I am in Ontario, Canada. The temperature was around 65F on both trips. The car was stored in garage and the temperature was about the same. The battery temperature gauge showed 5 bars.

    Does battery need calibration?

I understand the SOC is not always 100% accurate. However, the car is less than 1 yr old with 13k miles. The temperature is around lower 70s (CC is off). I expect the readings would be more consistent. I made a round trip back to back. The first trip was 50% off and the second trip was...

    Does battery need calibration?

CarWings shows 5.7 miles/kWh and the calculation done based on SOC is 3.8 miles/kWh. That's a pretty big difference to me. Is SOC something we can trust? To me the CarWings readings seem more accurate.

    Does battery need calibration?

2013 SL (13k miles) Since the start of the summer, I found the battery % gauge reading is not very consistent. During the winter, it shows 80% when the charging is finished. It only shows 79%. Not sure if it's a common issue. This morning I made a 29 mile round trip. From Home to School...

2013 S Not Charging at Some Stations

joewaters, you have a different procedure in your other post. "I plug in, power on the car, then power down again, and reset the EVSE, I can get it to charge just fine." Do you reset the EVSE first or power up & down first?

120 Miles on a full charge? No Problem

I think the B mode is mapped as accelerator and brake combined. The bottom 85% is accelerator and the top 15% is brake. If you press the accelerator to 15%, it's coasting. More than 15% is using electricity. Less than 15% is regenerating. more less coasting maintaining...

Accuracy of range and efficiency from various sources

Today, SOC was 79% before I left home. After I drove 46km, the SOC dropped to 43%. If we assume the usable capacity is 21kWh, 7.56kW was used. The average would be 6.08km/kWh (3.75 miles/kWh). However, the car's dash shows an average of 7.8km/kWh (4.8 miles/kWh). Why is there such big...

    Defective Battery Temperature Sensor?

Thanks for the confirmation! Anyone has comments on #2 and #3?

    Defective Battery Temperature Sensor?

    1) Is one of my temperature sensors defective? Should I get it fixed? 2) I mostly charge up to 80% (L1 charging only). 2 weeks ago, AHr was 63.37 and hlth was 97.33%. Why it dropped so much in 2 weeks? The car is only 3 weeks old. The weather has not changed much. 3) Leaf consoles shows...

Accuracy of range and efficiency from various sources

Which one is the most accurate and which one is the most inaccurate based on 2013 model? 1) SOC 2) GOM 3) Onboard Carwings Energy Info (average km/kWh) 4) Carwings website historical data

    iPhone text message alert

When my iPhone is connected to the car via bluetooth, the incoming phone calls will ring on the phone and car's speakers. However, for text messages, the alert is silent on the phone and the car. Is there a way to enable the text message alert/sound on iPhone or the car?

    Regen braking vs friction braking

Can someone please share the knowledge on how the regen and friction braking are applied? 1) When accelerator is released, regen braking is on. When brake pedal is pressed, is the friction braking applied right away? Does it depend on how hard the brake pedal is pressed? 2) Does ECO, D and B...

Canada : 2013 availability and price

Berlino, You are right. Nissan does not even offer it as an option in Canada. It's SL or no monitor at all.

Canada : 2013 availability and price

That's my understanding too. I asked 2 different dealerships and they both said SV has a rear-view camera. I just don't want any surprises when I pick up my Leaf. Any 2013 SV owners in Canada?

Canada : 2013 availability and price

Does 2013 SV have rear view camera or no camera at all (SL has the all around view camera)?
