    2012 Owner's Manual says 4.8 kVA charging ???

Thanks for the replies. I'll just accept that my User's Guide has two typos and proceed to set up my newly acquired Level 2 charger for 240 volts 16 amps.

    2012 Owner's Manual says 4.8 kVA charging ???

Please help me resolve the apparent inconsistency in these lines from page 9-4 of the 2012 Leaf Owner's Manual: Does it really have a 4.8 kVA charger? (So many folks insist that it's 3.8kVA) Can it really take 18 amps at 240 volts? (Many insist that max is 16 amps) What am I missing?

    Nissan not starting/responding at all.

The mechanical key should let you open the driver's door. You can the pull the hood latch to open the hood - my belief is that it's a mechanical pull. Once under the hood, you can charge (or jump) the 12 volt battery - which seems to be the source of your problems. The traction battery...

How to turn OFF the route Navigation

Thanks for the tip - you led me to: [Menu] [Route] [Cancel Route] - which does just what I wanted. I'd been stuck looking under [Menu] [Destination] that doesn't have a [Cancel] option on my 2012 Leaf SL. Glad that molehill is behind me.

How to turn OFF the route Navigation

Certainly it's simple, but it escapes me. If I've asked Route Guidance Navigation to get me "Home", at some point I recognize where I am and want it to shut down. How do I shut it down - turn off the voice? All searches on this site fail to find a discussion of this, from which I infer that...

    Leaf Spy Lite

FWIW, My downloaded-today Leaf Spy Pro (ver 0.38.80) just installed and chatted with the OBDII port on my 2012 Nissan Leaf just fine on my new Samsung Galaxy Edge 6+ running Android 6.0.1. So Leaf Spy Pro works with one Android 6.0.1 .

    NRG eVgo in New England

Neil - I don't have a dog in the race about whether Charge Point or NRG eVgo is better. I noted in my post that NRG eVgo is a tad expensive. But my point stands: the NRG eVgo FLEX plan listed for Boston does have Level 3 in their FLEX plan (i.e. listed as D.C.Quick Charge in their plan and...

    NRG eVgo in New England

The NRG eVgo FLEX plan has NO monthly fee - just as ChargePoint has NO monthly fee.

    NRG eVgo in New England

One of three plans that appeared under Boston, Massachusetts is the FLEX plan, that I took: Their FLEX plan is $4.95 for set up fee, No Monthly Charge $4.95 per session plus $0.20 per minute for DC Fast Charge Level 2: $1.50 per hour. That makes a DC fast charge $10.95 for 30 minutes - a tad...

    Spare Tire Solution?

Got a newish donut spare from a local junk yard ("We call that a bagel spare" says the guy who sells 'kosher' used parts) for $50 taken off a Nissan Altima with the proper rim specs - 16x4, 66.1 mm hole, 5 bolts at 114.3 mm ("We call that 4.5 inches"). The guy jacked up my Leaf and...

    This Button/Display (Regarding VSP)

Actually it's a poorly worded statement of importance. It means: "Your Nissan Leaf computer has determined that there is a human being sitting in the passenger seat which would normally result in the airbag being activate, in which case we'd tell you nothing (with airbag active) just as we...

    FIRE using LVL 1 - 120 V Trickle Charger

Acknowledging that I'm beating a dead horse in an old thread, but wanted to add this quote with regard to Nissan providing proper warning: I laughed at this because I live in a house build in 1866. The knob and tube wiring has been replaced in several stages to get it up to the current code...
