    A short Public Charging rant

No attitude required, thanks. Don't be that asshole in a thread that's been civil up until your post. I'm not blaming owners, infrastructure, or anything else. I'm pointing out my observations, frustrations, and using this forum to see if anyone feels the same. No need to get nasty. The...

    Lease Exit Plan

    A short Public Charging rant

I am in love with my Leaf. I've had it since November 2011 and despite a few challenges, it's definitely the most fun I've had in a car in a long, long time. That being said, with the popularity growing, especially with the PHV scene, I find it harder and harder to find public charging. More...

    Lease Exit Plan

I'm in the same boat as many other drivers, with a payment of 400+. My lease is up in November 2014, so I'm quite interested to see how Nissan reacts when the 2011 leases start coming back. I'll be keeping an eye on this board come 2014. Should be interesting!

Just wanted to post to say I saw my first Focus EV in the wild yesterday at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA. Great to see them finally on the road!

I'm assuming that no new news means...no news.

    Pic from Anaheim Train Station

It's a Chargepoint unit, Next to two old paddle chargers. Charging is free, and there wasn't any signage about length of stay. It was a Saturday afternoon and relatively quiet.

    EVOasis DC Charging Network

Just requested my card as well! Angus mentioned that there be both membership options as well as pay as you go options, in case anyone was confused about the different payment methods. With the RFID card, you can even create a a custom package depending on your frequency per month! Sounds...

OC to San Diego Range question

Just to get back on topic, did my third trip to SD, and it's official (at least for me) that the drive from OC > SD is a much more energy consuming drive than the drive from SD > OC. OC > SD, left with 100%, got to my destination with VLB warning. Low 50s, and for whatever reason, did not...

OC to San Diego Range question

I was around 58-62 mph with no traffic, except towards the end of my commute back, when I knew I was going to make it with plenty of range left, I was going 65-70 mph. It didn't seem that the rain affected my range, it effectively slowed down traffic as well, so lower speeds helped. Whenever I...

OC to San Diego Range question

Did this drive again this weekend, which was important, because I'll have to do it for the next three weekends.. Started from Tustin with 100% charge. Wasn't going to make that mistake again. I left late at night as soon as my charge completed, so it was around 1am, and temperatures in the...
