    My Future Parking Space

My workplace (U.S. Government office building) is installing 16 outdoor EV charging stations for employee use. Another 10 will be installed in the indoor garage. Stations will be L2 240V and will be free for employee use. The revolution has begun! Now all I need to do is to re-order a Leaf...

Any Deliveries to the non-Launch States Yet?

Those of us in the "left out" 43 are getting antsy... Heard a rumor Nissan has also reopened reservations in the original 7 (AZ, CA, HI, OR, TN, TX and WA) markets effective May 1? "“Nissan is pleased to report that the first vessel carrying post earthquake-produced Nissan LEAFs is scheduled...

    CBS aired Launch Activities Tonight

On their national broadcast, saying "Electric cars are here." They showed both the Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf but erroneously reported the Volt will charge the battery when the gas engine kicks in.

    Egg or the Chicken?

Nissan hinted in their Jun 27 email to me the LEAF won't be available for order in my upper midwest area until fall/winter 2011. I understand you're supposed to get the EV assessment and schedule an install of the home charging station prior to either ordering or taking delivery of the car...

    Waiting in MN

It's warm now, will probably be warm again when the LEAF is introduced to the Midwest. A friend in Seattle says they are busy installing charging infrastructure all over the place. Meanwhile, those of us between the coasts must play the waiting game. Shame, since liberal Minnesota...
