San Francisco Bay Area Quick Chargers Getting them sooner

That's great news! :D I will believe it when I see it after everything that has been promised and not delivered though. Of course, the stations also need to be operational a vast majority of the time in order to do anyone any good. :?:

San Francisco Bay Area Quick Chargers Getting them sooner

"Santa Rosa should be coming up! Talked to the Blink Man yesterday and he said they were commissioning it. Many of the Blink DC Quick Chargers are not on the BlinkMap at the moment, they removed them while they are making improvements." Are there other bay area blink DCQCs besides Santa Rosa...

San Francisco Bay Area Quick Chargers Getting them sooner

Well, Blink stood me up after all. I stopped by in the hot sun with my whole family in the car only to find 'this port is out of service'. I was fortunately not too surprised based on what I had read here. The 350green luckily worked just fine. My sentiments are quickly turning against Blink...

San Francisco Bay Area Quick Chargers Getting them sooner

Well, I was going to plan my first DCFC trip this Sunday using the VW DCFC, but I guess I'm going to have to use the 350green at Stanford instead :| . I practically hung up on the operator at the blink network when she told me that it should be fixed 'soon' and that a few days out of service is...

trip planning- will I make it 1300 feet up???

Please help, I have a one-way 46 mile trip coming up and my wife (who I'll just say is definitively less of an ev nut than I am :) ) and young son will be in the car with luggage. Normally, 46 miles is no sweat of course but I have to make darn sure we make it. The first 40 miles is freeway...

    New Quick Charge user questions

I've had my LEAF for almost a year now and like many here, I've never used the quick charge function. Well, that's about to change (for us in the SF Bay Area at least) with the first one now publicly available. Before I drive down to Stanford, I was wondering about a few basic functions of the...

ev project participants eligible for tax credit?

Forgive me if this has been addressed elsewhere but I couldn't find it. I am qualified for the ev project in the bay area and just found out my installation cost over the $1200 will be significiant. Does anybody know if I would qualify for 50% tax credit for the portion I pay out of pocket...

impact of extra occupant weight on range

Owners, I am considering purchasing a LEAF next month. I would have to make occasional ~70 mile trips with three occupants plus a dog, mostly freeway @ ~60 mph. Total occupant weight (including me) about 400 pounds. Any observations of the difference in usable range between single driver vs...

CHAdeMO might not be U.S. standard?

http://www.allcarselectric.com/blog/1059953_u-s-carmakers-to-japan-dont-need-your-stinkin-fast-charge Is anyone else alarmed by the above article? Might early adopters get burned by this seemingly political issue (i.e. the big three seem to be trying to screw up the Japanese since they are...

[PHASED-OUT]: Tracking the $5k California CVRP Fund

Somebody please clarify. This thread (including the graph at the beginning) implies that there are $2 million just 'sitting' and waiting to be added to the funding. Is this funding going to be added for the current rebate amount ($5K) or for next fiscal year? I ask because my delivery month...

    My experience with NorthBay Nissan

I will likely be leasing a Leaf from them in June. What is a one payment lease? Do you get to avoid any money paid in interest that way? Any other advantages? Thanks.

Leaf Owners : Actual Lease Details

I've never leased a car before so forgive me if this is a dumb question. Why is $7500 (+$2000) due upon lease signing? Is this the same $7500 tax credit that Nissan is getting from the feds since they technically own the car. I've always assumed $2000 due at lease signing, not $9500!!

    One-car household, am I crazy??

Thanks everyone for the replies. I do need the 5th seat so the Volt won't work. I also realize that Chevy dealers are going to mark it up anyway. The opportunity to get a LEAF at a discount is awesome and I assume short-lived. I suppose it's ultimately a technical question. Considering...

    One-car household, am I crazy??

My wife doesn't drive so we only have one car at my house. I am seriously considering leasing a LEAF early next year (I have already ordered) in which case I would have to sell our current car. Then, of course, I would have to rent a car about once per year-not a huge expense but kind of a...

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

I plan to request a lease quote from Northbay Nissan in October. I have an excellent credit score so I expect the lowest interest rate available. Has anyone request a 10k mile/year lease rate? Is so, how much lower is the payment? I don't drive very much so I don't want to pay for miles I...

    $99 refundability, etc

Hello all, I have been lingering on this forum for a few months and was hoping to get a few questions answered. My order date is in October and I am in the SF Bay area. Forgive me if this info is already posted, I couldn't find it. If I accept a quote from a dealer, does the $99 deposit...
