I think Leaf, Volt and Bolt are better for the Middle Class than Tesla

Don't forget the Honda Clarity! We have a Nissan Leaf and added the Clarity. Almost 3 months in and we are still on the same tank of gas.

    2011 LEAF Replacement: Need Help w/Pros & Cons of 2018 BOLT, I3, LEAF & Tesla Model 3

Being in Chicago, the BEV Fits weren't an option here either. I have a FB group for the Clarity if you want to learn more.

    2011 LEAF Replacement: Need Help w/Pros & Cons of 2018 BOLT, I3, LEAF & Tesla Model 3

The BEV is only available in CA and OR, the FC in CA, and the PHEV all of the US and Canada. I'm in Chicago which is why I bought the PHEV version. The BEV is $899 down, $199 a month for 3 years. It's only available as a lease and has a range of 89 miles. My PHEV has a 47 electric range with...

    2011 LEAF Replacement: Need Help w/Pros & Cons of 2018 BOLT, I3, LEAF & Tesla Model 3

Have you looked at the Honda Clarity? It's a true 5-seater but no hatch. We have the PHEV and love it. You are in CA and have the option of the BEV at an amazing lease price. Ours is 2 months old and still on the same tank of gas.

    Scratch repair

Thank you everyone! It's a 2013 Leaf in blue. She was parked on the street and didn't see that the mailbox next to the car was open. She drove and scraped the notch against both panels and both doors. I'm not sure how to upload the image. I found something at autozone that should take away...

    Scratch repair

My teen driver did some damage to my Leaf. I don't want to pay to get it fixed as it's quite pricey and I'm not certain it won't happen again. Does anyone have a recommendation for a repair kit or source to get paint? Just go to my dealer? Thanks!

Thanks! We will go down and check out the Model 3.

Do they let you sit in the Model 3? We have a day 1 reservation but most likely are buying the Honda Clarity as we don't want to wait a year. Our other concern is that my husband may be too tall for the 3. He's too tall for the Volt, Volvo, and Prius.

    Official Honda Clarity FCEV/BEV/PHEV thread

We just got a Honda clarity phev. I started a fb group but I’m not sure if it’s okay to link here.

    Alignment and new tires

Costco has some specials on tires but they don't do front end alignments. Does anyone have any Chicago area suggestions for where to go? Or even what tires to buy?

    End of Lease Strategies?

I'm contemplating buying out my Leaf if I can get the deal you got. Can you post or PM the name of who you dealt with Al Piemonte. The dealer where I bought my car, Rosen Nissan, is no longer around. Thanks!

Best route to get my LEAF home?

I'll post if we end up on a trip like this. I'm up in the Chicago suburbs and my daughter hasn't ever ventured south of I-88.

    Accelerator sticking

After speaking with the 800 number, I brought my Leaf into yet another dealership. They weren't able to duplicate the problem but they won't release my car back to me until the Nissan tech looks at it at the end of the month. I'm glad I have a loaner but it's an icky Versa.

    Accelerator sticking

Yesterday I had to make a turn across traffic so I floored the pedal to accelerate. The accelerator locked and I had to use my left foot to release it. This is the second time I've had this happen. I mentioned it to the dealer when I brought it in to have my AC replaced and he told me the...

    Bad AC

I forgot what they ordered to fix the AC but it'll take at least 7 days for it to arrive. They said the drain was properly attached but they will do a test once the new part arrives and the car is filled with new coolant.

    Bad AC

I have a 2013S with the QC. A few months after I bought it, the heater failed at the height of a Chicago winter. Now that it's August, my AC has failed. When it went out, I felt water on my foot which the technician smirked at as not being possible. I searched here and is a real issue so I'm...
