I tried a quick search and didn't find another thread about this...

Has anyone else noticed that Nissan upped the capacity warranty (at least 9 bars) on the 30kWh battery to 96mo or 100,000 miles? That is a pretty big deal in my book, especially for any hot climate folks considering a leaf. That should be good for at least 75 miles of range for the next 8 years...

Lithium-ion Battery Gradual Capacity Loss:

In addition to the Lithium-ion Battery Coverage for defects in materials or workmanship (96 months/100,000 miles), the Nissan LEAF® Lithium-ion battery is also warranted against capacity loss below nine bars of capacity as shown on the vehicle’s battery capacity level gauge for a period of 60 months or 60,000 miles with the 24kWh battery and 96 months or 100,000 miles with the 30kWh battery, whichever comes first. [*] See your Owner's Manual for tips on maximizing battery life and capacity.

The problem is that Nissan doesn't say anything about what the bars mean, so you have a warranty, you just don't know what it is.

"at least 9 bars" isn't any different than on the old packs so I guess you are just talking about the mileage change. While I agree with stoaty that this doesn't mean anything yet, it has been discussed in another thread so I'll lock this one and link to the other one.
