Someone in a FB group via screenshot pointed me to some big discounting on Bolts.
From clues in the screenshot, I found the dealer's page at https://www.martinchevrolet.com/inventory/New-Chevrolet-Bolt_EV/. Not sure how reputable the dealer is, but they are rather tempting given that GM still has the full tax credit (which supposedly will be cut in half on April 1, 2019 per https://insideevs.com/gm-federal-tax-credit-limit-200000-evs/).
If they are legit and I can't get a similar deal in the Bay Area, might actually be worth flying to LA and driving a Bolt back up.
Supposed to be "nationwide" factory incentive for $7K. I would be surprised to see it NA in Bay area?
Can you find me some pointers to this? Even a dealer listing of some Bolts showing this (can be in your state) would be helpful.
I haven't seen anything that big that's legit, yet. I’d seen another dealer that had low looking Bolt prices but that included the $1500 incentive for current GM lessees (like Martin) and another lame $500 off ONLY if you trade in a model year 2005 or newer car. No thanks.
At least 1/4 of the dealers inventory that I checked included that $1500 off GM lessee discount in their teaser price.
For the Premier trim and equipment level I'm interested in (well, also has driver confidence ii package), https://www.chevroletoffremont.com/VehicleDetails/new-2019-Chevrolet-Bolt_EV-5dr_Wgn_Premier-Fremont-CA/3336145903 is about the lowest I'm seeing openly advertised, with a "$5000 discount" --> $38,510, part of that is a $1000 GM incentive. That dealer didn't play games by subtracting another $1500 for the current GM lessee discount.
