Sadly, 4800 Leafs in a quarter is now a solid number for Nissan.
Yes. They've arrived at dealers and this guy, for example, seems to have gotten one: https://www.chevybolt.org/threads/2022-bolt-euv-on-lot-in-md-for-5-000-over-msrp.38865/#post-616535.GRA said:Is the EUV on sale yet? I'm seeing lots more Bolts, but haven't seen or at least identified an EUV yet.

Thx. I'll be scrutinising "Bolts" more carefully from now on, until I ID an EUV.

Makes you want a passively cooled battery perhaps?
Zero LEAF battery fires.

I've not seen a copy of the procedure, but presumably it's identical to or an abbreviated version of the remedy for recalled Bolts (https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2020/RCSB-20V701-3618.pdf) but just "not a recall". I made an appointment for about a week from now.GM Program #:

I hinted to him in email recently that with 19 cent/kWh public DC FCing 5 miles from home, it's likely much cheaper to do that than to buy gas for his truck. He mentioned to me he hardly drives further than about where that DC FC is anyway.
Per https://gasprices.aaa.com/?state=CA, regular gas in my city/metro area is currently averaging $4.37/gal.
LOL! I'm a straight male and AFAIK, he doesn't across that way but I I can see that. Good point. FWIW, I had a Prius for over 13 years but for about 7 years, I also had a Nissan 350Z that I'd bought new.kuroneko said:Probably ego. A truck is a "man's" vehicle. He won't be caught dead driving his wife's dinky electric car. A lot of guys feel that hybrids and electrics aren't manly enough to drive. Just watch Jeff Dunham's bit on driving a Prius (it's not good, but you get the point).
Also continuing today, when I returned home from work, I found parked on the street was a new '22 Bolt EV (same color as their previous Bolt, white) w/temp CA "plates". I guess they made up their mind.cwerdna said:Continuing my reply from https://mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?p=606976#p606976, all the Bolts (3) on my street near me besides mine at https://mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=18907&p=591791&hilit=buttons#p591791 still exist and haven't caught fire.
...
The next door neighbor with a white leased Bolt I spoke about a week ago. His lease now ends in under than 2 weeks, maybe 1 now. He said he's considering buying it out while looking into newer '22 Bolt EV or EUV to lease instead (he rattled off some lease numbers). A few days later, I pointed him to some Leaf lease deals that I got served a Facebook ad for. The white Bolt apparently was his wife's car and it's barely driven now due to COVID and her WFH. From where she supposedly works, she should have free charging at work and a 40 kWh Leaf would be no problem for her commute. The HQ of that company is under 30 miles away (almost all highway).
GM warns some Bolt EV owners: Don’t park them inside or charge them unattended overnightcwerdna said:Reposting URL w/o query string and bookmark: https://electrek.co/2021/07/08/chevy-bolt-ev-catches-on-fire-after-receiving-both-of-gm-software-fixes/. Will be interesting to hear the findings. Will be bad news if the final remedy's extra monitoring and diagnostics proves to be insufficient. A few folks on chevybolt.org and FB groups have had their diagnostics fail at the dealer (and thus needed new sections or packs) or later hit the new DTC --> requiring dealer work.
If the new software isn't good enough, then it seems likely GM/LG might be on the hook for many more replacement packs.
On chevybolt.org and some FB groups, we knew about the VT fire but we hadn't heard (AFAIK) about the NJ one.JULY 14 2021 IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM GENERAL MOTORS
General Motors has been notified of two recent Chevrolet Bolt EV fire incidents in vehicles that were remedied as part of the safety recall announced in November 2020. Out of an abundance of caution, we are asking owners of 2017-2019 Chevrolet Bolt EVs who were part of the recall population to park their vehicles outdoors immediately after charging and not leave their vehicles charging overnight while we investigate these incidents.
Customers who have not had the remedy completed should still visit their dealer for the recall remedy while our investigation continues. At GM, safety is our highest priority, and we are moving as quickly as we can to investigate this issue
As of yesterday, it's 8 confirmed battery-related and 5 under investigation.
Two of the ones under investigation still are the Virginia (May 1) and Vermont (July 1) ones. Those we are certain are battery fires. The one from New Jersey is within the past couple of weeks but we have no details and included under the 5. Note the investigation numbers. That means there's one additional one between end of April and May 25th that they are investigating and we have no idea about. We also don't know about the one that was under investigation from before end of April. I would think that confirming NOT battery related is relatively quick.
Here's the list of what we have found so far:
