the real question is "would Jesus drive a Leaf?"
As for Jesus Himself, that's a moot point, since He came to earth at the perfect time in human history for His purposes. He certainly used "sustainable" transportation while He was here, though!

As they say, the LEAF is more pious than a Prius, isn't it?

We regularly drive the LEAF to church, one that would be considered evangelical and conservative. I certainly haven't encountered any "EV hate", though there is undoubtedly some skepticism. Most people that I've talked to think the LEAF is cool, if they even understand what manner of vehicle it is. There is plenty of educating to be done. Yes, we want to be better stewards of this special planet, and avoid sending oil money to undesirable regimes.

Well, the LEAF does have over boosted steering, almost white interior, a wimpy horn, need I say more?

So.....I installed a pair of 110db blaster horns, two-tone black leather interior, and I'm taking Viagra. Man, the 70+ yr old chicks are all over me!

This is why everyone needs to floor it in D from every light when you're next to one of "those" people to show them that EV is power. Change their mind with a ride and/or drive.

I was waiting at the stop light, in the left hand lane for a left turn. To my right, a big V8 police car pulled up. When the light turned green, I accelerated as quickly as I could in the left turn without squealing the tires. I could hear the V8 getting louder and louder, with the radiator fan up to "take off" speed.

Yep. Did a great job beating him to the next light, but I had a huge advantage with the inside line. This next light had not turns; straight up drag race. I used the left foot for brake, with the right foot over the gas pedal.

At green, I was launched way out in front, and accelerated all the way to 45mph, the speed limit, as the police cruiser finally went by in a huge roar. I suspect he had as much fun as me.

first.. if by gay he means week and girlie... then he clearly doesn't know many gay men

second.. I've been for a 0-60 ride in a Tesla Roadster. DAMN that thing is fast! Sounds like a drill (on steriods.)

or, if anyone in real life confronts you with the EV gay thing.. you could always tell them to google "white zombie drag car"..

My church actually has a father's day car show every year in the church parking lot. We have a few thousand members and the car show usually has about 50 to 75 interesting vehicles on display. I decided to apply and my car was accepted and by sheer luck I got parked right in front of the main entrance to the church. So everybody had to walk right past my car. I got a lot of people asking me about it, especially being that at this point in time there probably weren't even a dozen Leafs in the state of Texas. However, it didn't do too well in the polls. There were prizes awarded for 10 different classes of vehicles. I was hopeful I'd win a prize for "best new vehicle" or one of the other miscellaneous ones like "pastor's chioce." After all, the pastor actually took a seat in the car and I gave him a tour of how all of the instruments worked. Unfortunately, I didn't win any awards.

Here's a photo of my car at the event:

Yes it is, as a matter of fact. How did you know?

I am doing my thesis on the architecture and design of the entrance to a church as it relates to the economic level of the neighborhood in which it is located.
