I received some pictures from a VOLT owner the other day. He fixed his out of warranty Voltec EVSE with OpenEVSE parts.

A broken EVSE makes a great platform for a DIY EVSE, the majority of the cost is the J1772 cable. A broken EVSE still has some value.
