That sucks because so far the dealer I chose seems to be clueless about the whole process. So does that make Quote stuck till that get there act together? Hopefully I'll be able to do another quote and just pick another dealer after 24 hours.
Contacting other dealers in Miami to see if I can get a feel for who up to speed on the process.
All the Miami dealers are clueless on the process of ordering a Nissan Leaf. I finally got my order in at Bill Seidle Nissan. It took them all day and I was quite persistent on the phone with several people, including the GM, just to get the quote.
Good News is they sold it to me at MSRP. There was a $820 delivery charge but no dealer fee listed on the "transaction price". The email from Nissan says "Your Nissan LEAF will take approximately 3 - 4 months from your order date to its arrival at your dealer."

Where did you actually find your quote? I'm looking at my dashboard and I don't see one although I have the option of "rework my price" or "get quote from another dealer". If I select either one it says it will invalidate my current quote, but I don't seem to have an option to view that quote.
Tried to talk to someone at Bill Seidle and they must have been to busy running around trying to figure out what to to with your quote that they never got back to me. Esserman Nissan said that there LEAF Specialist hadn't come in yet (sure he had a long night preparing for Leaf sales, LOL) but they too my info and said that he would contact me. He never did. And Maroone never sent me an actual price on anything and said that it wouldn't be available till early next year? Ah, Customer service in Miami, BS as always. Think I'll try heading north with my inquires. I've always had better luck in the Pompano area when buying cars.
Also I think $820 delivery charge is the same as last year. Nice to see some price stayed the same for the 2012's. And congratulations, I always knew the hardest part of get in leaf here would be the dealers and you are over that hill.

Maroone Delray told me over the phone they would sell at MSRP + destination charge + $599 dealer service fee. I gave them my first RAQ but they have not responded via the dashboard.
Esserman in Miami said they would sell at MSRP + destination charge + $745 dealer service fee.
Royal Palm told me the would sell at MSRP + destination charge + $995 dealer service fee. (I'll refrain from making a crude joke about what kind of service they'd better include with that kind of fee)
Ironically the Delray dealer is the best I've found so far. I'm sure not about to drive an hour for a worse deal!
Has anyone found a better deal in S FL?
thanks
LTLFTcomposite said:Update : Just had a call from Mitchel Lazowitz... he said they would have the quote entered on the dashboard tomorrow. Something about the manager Stacy Horton has to enter it.

Thanks, good to find an enthusiastic sale guy. In my opinion the "dealer service fee" is just a markup on this car see, if you can get them to drop it. Really they will be making several thousand on the car without it, and it not like is going to even be in the dealership sitting on the lot for a while. My 2 cents on thousands

With the 2012 price increase and the premium pricing quoted by dealers, the Volt is looking much more attractive. The Chevy dealers that have aggreed to sell at MSRP are getting larger allotments than those who are not selling at MSRP. And Volts are supposed to be in Florida in September -- Sooner than I would expect to see a Leaf. I have driven Prius since the were first available (Gen 1,2,3) and I drove the Volt in Jacksonville. Sat in the Volt on Sunday and Today (Wed Jan 3) and the front of the volt is more comfortable for big person like me. Backseat & cargo is better in the Prius and Leaf. I mainly drive a 40mi RT commute so the volt would work out about as well for me. I am going to request a couple of quotes from other dealers, but if they persist in $1000-2000 dealer charges for what amounts to a scotch guard and wax job, I would rather spend the extra money and put it into a Volt. Nissan is close to missing their chance with me.

I don't think you are alone. It is very frustrating that Nissan doesn't have their act together. Our preference is to buy the Leaf because it is 100% electric but I am starting to wonder if the ease of purchasing a different car will outweigh our wish for 100% electric.
