I am in Abilene this weekend with my Volt.
The only level 2 chargers in town appear to be the ones at McGavock Nissan of Abilene, so I stopped there around lunch time. I explained I was a Leaf owner but was in town with my Volt and asked if it would be OK to charge there while I got lunch.
Willie Carrillo, Jr. was very friendly, turned on the circuit breaker to the charger for me and my son and I had a nice lunch at Cici's pizza a couple of blocks away while picking up a few miles of EV range thanks to Nissan. Their chargers are around back so it probably wouldn't be much of a PR issue for them, but I appreciated the courtesy.
